Seasonal Produce Market
23 Oct 2010 - 31 Jan 2013
The Seasonal Produce Market always promises to be great. With people now growing produce specifically for the occasion. This are also Cooking demonstrations and live foot-tapping music.
Inside and outside at the Nethercote Hall, cnr Back Creek and Nethercote Roads. All sites $10. This is a non-profit enterprise, but we do need to cover running costs - any surplus goes towards improving future markets.
We are always keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in growing for future markets.
2012 dates are: Sat 28th Jan, Sat 28th April 2012, TBA July, TBA Oct

The diverse range of produce for sale will include vegetable seedlings, fruit, vegetables,, plants and flowers, beautiful home -baked goods (including famous Nethercote cakes and quiches), jams & sauces, plus grass-fed beef, free-range chooks and eggs and smoked fish. While most of the stallholders are Nethercotians, the only stipulation is that produce comes from within 250ks of Bega. Seed funding is available for anyone who wishes to grow specifically towards future markets; no obligation or risk and "no worries" if the crop fails.
Excellent coffee is available and the Nethercote Residents' Association cooks up great bacon and egg rolls. Musical entertainment this time, due to popular demand, will again be Jazz Trio "Easy Street". Another fun and informative cooking demonstration will take place in the fabulous stainless-steel kitchen at around 10am.
"Ena's Pantry" Pickles and Chutneys always sell out!
