BUSH FIRE ALERT

RFS bush fire survival plan

Copied from page 114 of the October 4, 2009 THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPH  (http://www.sundaytelegraph.com.au/)

This bush fire season is predicted to be one of the worst in years. If you live anywhere close to bushland, you really should prepare a Bush Fire Survival Plan, complete it with your family, and MAKE SURE that EVERYONE knows what to do.

KEEP your Bush Fire Survival Plan where you can find it in an emergency.

You can download a plan from the rfs by visiting its web site at http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/

ALSO, the NSW Rural Fire Service web site contains a Bush Fire Household Risk Assessment Tool that you can download and use to help you assess your household's level of risk from a bush fire and make informed decisions about the safety of your household.

Or, you can call the RFS on 1800 679 737
